Autism treatment, translational research and evidenced-based programmes
UCLA PEERS® PROGRAMME
In reviewing autism treatment, current research and evidenced-based programmes, the PEERS® Programme is one of the only evidenced-based treatments focusing on optimising social skills for teens with autism. The programme, developed in 2005, by Dr Elizabeth Laugeson, Founder and Director of the UCLA PEERS® Clinic, and Dr Fred Frankel, has expanded throughout the US and globally. At PEERS® Australia we are committed to drive collaborative research at national and global levels to bring evidenced-based autism treatment and interventions for adolescents and young adults in Australia.
